Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

25%   Manages relationship with Select Employees Groups assigned book by utilizing online management systems. Attends
vendor fairs, onsite visits and conducts financial education seminars. Distributes SEG marketing materials to new and existing employers in our Field of Membership. Responsible for managing SEG/Community Parnter relationships, tracking and reporting of business development activities to department and Credit Union. Responsible for creating new SEG and SEG Affiliate partnerships
by establishing contact, developing and tracking the relationship. Maintains relationships with Friends of the Library groups. Provides follow up and processes applications for approval with NCUA and Board of Directors. Prepares and coordinates materials for scheduled events including Hughes Marketing events, vendor fairs, health fairs, etc.

 

20%        Participates in various chamber and networking groups. Finds opportunities for Business Development through community functions, networking groups, sponsorships, etc. Deepens relationship and brand recognition with community through participation  in events that increase Credit Union visibility and membership growth. Recommends sponsorship and participation of SEG related community events by participating and actively finding new ideas for Business Development/Marketing meetings. Actively communicates and contributes in Marketing Meetings as scheduled. Performs administrative duties and assists with all other special projects. Assists with special events as needed and acts as backup for lead business development position as needed.

20%        Assists in implementation of adult and youth financial education through coordinating efforts between SEGs, community groups and schools. Assists in managing online financial education platforms, researching latest trends, increasing our reach and other duties as assigned.

15%        Assists in development and growth of Beneifts Plus Merchant Program. Follows up on leads from branches and other opportunities as presented. Ensures businesses are correctly utilizing Benefits Plus Merchant Program to Hughes membership. Encourages other local businesses to sign up for program and market to their employees. Reports and tracks efforts to Marketing Department and Credit Union.

10%        Assists in inventory management of stock of promotional gifts, brochures, take-ones, other supplies, etc. Helps Marketing Representative in ordering or re-ordering giveaways as needed.

5%          Assists in coordinating annual meeting event including location, entertainment, annual meeting gift selection and other duties as needed.

 5%          Maintains awareness with NCUA regulations pertaining to our Credit Union charter. Identifies and writes updated procedures pertaining to SEGs, Business Development and Marketing as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Assists in development and management of Benefits Plus Merchant Program. Responsible for increasing membership within the guidelines of the NCUA and Board of Directors through coordination of trade shows, special events, financial education, onsite visits, and networking. Networks with business and community partners to deepen relationships and brand recognition within the local community. Assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of staff training, policy, marketing and advertising promotions in relation to SEGs and and overall Credit Union growth. SEG tracking, administrative duties, and special projects as assigned.RequirementsExpectations:

To meet the Credit Union’s growth objectives with respect to membership growth, penetration levels of  assigned SEGs, enrolling new SEGs and community partnerships.
Continue to grow and develop merchant program through Benefits Plus partnership.
Maintains an active, positive, professional image and reputation for the Credit Union in the community.
Cross sells to existing membership to increase household profitability.
Provides direction to management on trade shows and special events for current and future level of participation.
To deliver planned results within budget.
Has flexible scheduling and is able to work early morning, evening and weekend events as scheduled. Balances time in and out of the office to ensure all administrative duties are accomplished as well as visibility in the community and at scheduled events.            
To assist the department in achieving an internal service survey score of 4.90 or greater.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:                               Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:                                Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. Prefer college degree in marketing or related field.

Interpersonal Skills:                 Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves frequent personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Other Skills:

          1. Excellent grammar, written and verbal communication skills.

          2. Comfortable and able to make presentations and speak to groups and organizations.

          3. Ability to work with people at all levels.

          4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

          5. Knowledgeable about all Credit Union products, services and policies.

          6. Ability to work and travel independently. Ability to work flexible days and weekends.

          7. Good organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

          8. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:                 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to speak clearly, hear and able to travel to other locations.

Work Environment:               The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Mental Demands:                  The mental demands necessary to competently perform this job include the continuous need to be alert and resourceful in solving problems; and to exercise a degree of patience and initiative in performing the job duties.
