Amphitheater School District is a public school district serving children in the Tucson area from Grant Road to the Town of Catalina. Our schools offer unique opportunities for children to learn and to grow. Canyon del Oro High School has the International Baccalaureate program for students who want an advanced and rigorous course load. Amphitheater High School is the only high school in Tucson that offers University of Cambridge International Examinations. The Cambridge Academy is a challenging college and career ready program that enables students to obtain the Grand Canyon diploma in two years. All of our high schools offer Advanced Placement courses. Ironwood Ridge High Schools offers more than 20 AP courses that give students college credit and challenge them to reach their highest academic goals. Our middle schools are preparing students to enter the workplace of the future. Starting in the 2014-2015 school year, we launched an exciting curriculum called Project Lead the Way. (PLTW) Getting children excited about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) starts with showing them how subjects like math and science are relevant to their everyday lives. Through this hands-on, project-based learning, teachers can show students how the subjects they learn in school have applications in the real world. Our elementary schools have many exciting programs that engage children and motivate them to learn, from live videoconference links to places around the world, to blended learning classrooms.
