The firm has offices in Tucson and Tempe, Arizona; San Diego, Sacramento, San José and Irvine, California; Cary, North Carolina; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and San Antonio and El Paso, Texas. The company builds a variety of projects for both public and private clients throughout the United States, including commercial and institutional structures of many types; infrastructure projects such as highways, dams, pipelines and airport facilities; and facilities for the Department of Defense as well as other Federal agencies.
Sundt is known nationally for its innovative approach to construction services, and has won more Build America awards from the Associated General Contractors of America than any other general contractor.
Sundt traces its roots back more than 120 years to a small construction company in New Mexico founded by a Norwegian immigrant named Mauritz Martinsen Sundt. The company moved to Arizona in 1929, and today is owned entirely by its approximately 1,500 employees.
